Welcome to the Board of Examiners of Nursing Care Institution Administrators and Assisted Living Facility Managers website. The site was designed and continues to improve with consumers and licensees in mind. The website contains a variety of information including a searchable directory of administrators and managers, forms such as applications, our laws and rules, Board meeting dates, and the members who are appointed by the Governor to serve on this Board.

ADHS Final Rules Effective 7/1/14 for Assisted Living Facilities and Nursing Care Institutions.
New Manager and Caregiver Training rules went into effect August 3, 2013. Click for an overview.

Caregiver training certificates DO NOT expire.
Any training taken after 8/3/13 from a provider not on the approved list, and that does not meet the new standards under Article 6 or Article 7 is NOT and WILL NOT be recognized and certificates will not be valid. If you have a question about training being approved, please contact our office at 602-364-2273.
New and renewal of fingerprint clearance cards is taking DPS up to 3 months to process. DPS telephone number for application is, 602-223-2279

Continuing Education for Attending a Board Meeting:
Receive three hours of continuing education, at no charge, for attending a Board meeting.

The mission of the Board is to protect the health, welfare, and safety of Arizona citizens who seek and use the services of nursing care institution administrators and assisted living facility managers.
What We Do
The Board licenses nursing care institution administrators and certifies assisted living facility managers. The licensing and certification process helps ensure that qualifications, competency and standards are met. The Board investigates all complaints, and enforces the practice standards of the Administrators and Managers. The Board also approves continuing education courses to make sure quality and useful education is being taught.
