Board Staff has 30 days, from the time an application is received, to review it to make sure it is filled out correctly and all the required attachments are present. After review, a letter will be sent to you advising of missing information or schedule the test date and time. A test date and time will not be scheduled until ALL missing information is received. Both Administrator and Manager examinations are given monthly on the first Thursday unless your examination notice letter says differently.
Examinations will be held in the Board Meeting Room C, 1740 W. Adams, Phoenix, AZ 85007.
The manager examination consists of 100 multiple-choice questions. To prepare yourself for the examination, you will need to study the Board's statutes and rules pertaining to managers (Articles 1, 4, and 5), as well as the Arizona Department of Health Services (DHS) statutes and rules, Article 1 and Article 8, pertaining to managers and assisted living facilities.
